Nearly 60 dedicated and caring employees throughout Alexandria Industries facilities make up our first responder teams. These individuals are certified every two years and participate in many training sessions and mock disaster drills to prepare them for emergencies. Many of them are volunteer first responders in the communities where they live in.
Our facility safety committees meet monthly to review injury frequencies and trends, perform and report on safety audits, oversee compliance of the safety program, and respond to safety recommendations.
Every employee is required to attend our annual “Right To Know” training on identifying and eliminating hazards and potential hazards in the workplace, and in hazardous work activities.
Just like with our quality and production systems, we are continuously working to keep our employees on the leading edge of any new technology or improvements in the training fields.
Many hours are spent annually preparing for a range of disastrous events that may disrupt our business, facilities or employees. A team of individuals review processes and procedures and run drills to ensure we have solutions readily available to protect the well-being of our employees, our customers’ products, and our facilities.
